USA Gymnastics names U.S. Senior Women’s National Team, Senior Pan Am Championships Team

PITTSBURGH, Pa., Aug. 24, 2014 – Following the conclusion of the women’s gymnastics competition at the 2014 P&G Gymnastics Championships, USA Gymnastics named the members of the 2014-15 U.S. Women’s Senior National Team, as well as the U.S. Team for the 2014 Senior Pan American Championships, Aug. 27-Sept. 1, in Toronto, Ont., Canada. The winners of the women’s annual awards were also announced: Simone Biles of Spring, Texas/World Champions Centre, Athlete of the Year; Lexie Priessman, Cincinnati, Ohio/Precision, Sportswoman of the Year; and Aimee Boorman of World Champions Centre, Coach of the Year.

The Senior Pan Am Championships is the qualifying event for the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto. The dates for men’s and women’s gymnastics are Aug. 27-Sept. 1. Seven women named to the U.S. Team are: Baumann, Desch, Hundley, Kocian, Locklear, Nichols and Skinner.
